Fiber Cable Enclosures: Fiber Patch Panels Or Wall Mount Fiber Enclosures

Pre-loaded or custom built, it's your choice!

Custom Fiber Options

1. Select Enclosure

Fiber enclosures allow for different types of fiber optic cable to be spliced together and routed to different points in a building. A fiber optic patch panel or wall mount enclosure not only enables electricians and network engineers to connect and manipulate cables, it also offers a safe working environment for upgrades, retrofits and more. When choosing a fiber enclosure, consider the following: Size? Capacity? Features? Do you need it to lock for added security? Depending how easily you need to be able to access it you may choose a swing door, single or dual door, etc.

2.Adapter Plates

Different connector types can mean trouble for your network if you’re not prepared. Make sure you can handle any upgrade or new installation with a fiber optic adapter plate. To fill in the empty gaps in your cabinet or wall mount enclosure, we also have blank adapter panels.

Fiber Connector Types

A connector assembly consists of an adapter and two connector plugs. Different connectors are required for multimode and single-mode fibers. A variety of optical fiber connectors are available, but SC and LC connectors are the most common types. Other types available are ST, FC and even MTP connectors.

4. Splicing Trays

A fiber optic splice tray provides a place to shield and protect the fiber cables and the splices. This allows a safe environment to install and upgrade those critical network connections. Choose a fiber optic splice tray with a plastic or aluminum base.
Pigtails are used in conjunction with splicing trays as each strand is terminated on one end and the other end is left blunt.
