Plenum Simplex Fiber is recommended for applications where the propagation of smoke and flames is a justifiable concern. A Plenum rated flame-retardant jacket prevents this cable from spreading fire and toxic fumes throughout a building in the event of an emergency. Note that Simplex Fiber Optic Cable, Single Mode, 9/125, Corning Fiber, Indoor, Plenum is available in 2.0mm and 3.0mm diameters.
