8 Strand Pre-terminated Fiber Cable Assembly, Multimode 62.5/125 OM1, Indoor Plenum Distribution
With many options to choose from, our custom fiber cables allow you to configure the fiber cable exactly how you need for your application. Choose from LC, SC and ST connectors already terminated at the ends of the fiber cable, saving you the hassle of installing the connectors in the field. If you are pulling the cable through conduit or inner duct, choose the pulling eye option to help protect the terminated ends during the pull and reduce the risk of damaging the cable. These custom fiber cables can be cut to just about any length needed and come installed with furcation tubing to further strengthen the termination points. Buy with confidence! All of out custom pre-terminated fiber cable assemblies are made with the highest quality materials, assembled in the USA and come with the test results after termination. USA made cables can also be accommodated upon request.
Riser distribution fiber cables' tight-bound, tight-buffered design allows the fiber cables to be installed in intra-building backbone and inter-building campus locations without costly transitions between cable types. Plenum distribution fiber optic cable uses high performance components and construction and is made for use in vertical runs in building riser shafts or from floor to floor.
Multi-Mode cable commonly has a diameter in the 50-to-100 micron range (typical multimode fiber core diameters are 50 or 62.5 micrometers). Multimode fiber gives you high bandwidth at high speeds (10 to 100MBS - Gigabit to 275m to 2km) over medium distances. Light waves are dispersed into numerous paths, or modes, as they travel through the cable's core typically 850 or 1300nm. However, in long cable runs (greater than 3000 feet [914.4 meters), multiple paths of light can cause signal distortion at the receiving end, resulting in an unclear and incomplete data transmission so designers now call for single mode fiber in new applications using Gigabit and beyond.
- Factory terminated and tested.
- Test results supplied for each custom fiber cable.
- Only the highest quality products are used to insure top level performance.
- Pulling eyes are made from a strong and durable mesh and help protect the terminations from damage while allowing for tension relief when pulling the cable.
- Staggered connectors allow for less bulk and keeps space at a minimum.
- Heat shrink tubing is used to join the pulling eye with the cable for added strength.
