The patented cellular distribution system (CDS) is a wireless enhancement product designed to resolve low cellular signal strength issues for in-building applications. Designed as a complete kit, the CDS system provides everything that you will need to mitigate dead zones within your communications network. Fiber Savvy carries a 3G Cellular Distribution System.

This system is based on a donor antenna architecture, whereby an antenna is placed at an external location to capture the available signal from the provider’s tower. The signal is then delivered to a rack-mounted system below; this in turn boosts the cellular system’s signal strength and rebroadcasts the signal throughout the building where internal antennas are placed. The end result is a fast-performing CDS system with fewer dead zones and greater interconnectivity.

The CDS system offers several distinct advantages:

• A simple, cost-effective solution compared to high-end DAS cellular systems for area specific coverage enhancement; this system requires no software configuration and minimal adjustment at installation.

• The low power 3W unit does not demand carrier approval and supports all providers with good signal strength available where the donor antenna is placed.

• A complete solution with all hardware including head end, antennas, protection and cable assemblies designed to work optimally as one.

Fiber Savvy also carries 50 Ohm Plenum LMR 400 Cable designed specifically to be used in conjunction with our cellular systems.
