Collection: Fiber Optic Pigtails

The Fiber Optic Pigtail is normally a tight buffered fiber cable with a connector pre-terminated on one end and exposed fiber on the other. The stripped, or pre-terminated end, is intended to be connected to the terminated end of a single mode or multimode fiber through a fusion or mechanical splicing process. The Fiber Optic Pigtail can be fitted with either male or female connectors on the end opposite of the pre-terminated end. Female connectors can be mounted in a patch panel, while male connectors can be plugged into optical transceivers. We carry a whole assortment of fiber optic connectors.

Heighten Transmission Through a Prime Connection

When utilized properly, the Fiber Optic Pigtail allows light signal transmission with minimal return loss and low attenuation. The pre-terminated fiber reduces installation time and ensures accuracy. Make sure your network is reinforced with Fiber Savvy’s Fiber Pigtails, as ours are manufactured of unsurpassed quality materials.

The SC Fiber Pigtails (APC, UPC) are available in both single and multimode versions. Our Fiber Pigtails come with a partial outer jacket, protecting the tight buffers from damage. If installed in a high-density application, the outer jacket can be easily removed to accommodate a tighter bend radius for the pigtails.
